Europe Girl is a professional cosmetics brand with more than a 100K followers on Instagram. Europe Girl went live in their business in 2018 and so was their website. The website looked very 2018 in 2022 where emerging cosmetics brands were becoming unicorns with their highly converting web pages. Illustrake reported a downfall in the purchases and net sales value due to the website’s poor loading speed and interactions. Our challenge was to create an interface which excites the customer in taking the desired action on the site i.e. purchase. We went through hurdles like abandoned carts, higher bounce rates, below average website creatives and banners, slow pages, higher RTOs and not so good looking aesthetics. SOLUTION

Our UX researchers’ team conducted workshops with the clients to understand users’ pain points, expectations, and motivations to arrive at the usability score of the website.

We also conducted thorough research on the user reviews on the eCom store. Most pages had outdated design language, and the experience also needed to be relooked.

We started with identifying personas and creating user journeys. We defined intuitive events such as subscribe, select options, upsells, and cross-sells for users and pitched for various first-of-kind initiatives directed boost customer acquisition and engagement.

In the UI, we gave the website a new and fresh look by updating the design system to match the new brand guidelines. Every screen prompts us to take any action, thus leading to another screen and higher engagement. Elements, including the icons and the artwork, are in sync throughout, and the right balance of colors, enough white space, highlights the brand integration.
